David Roberts - Managing Director
David is the Chairman and Managing Director of Director Resource Ltd.
David specialises in, Strategic development, Leading Organisational change, and coaching and mentoring senior executives during the introduction of World Class Manufacturing programmes.
David is recognised in the industry for his commitment to design and deliver programmes that transform Organisations and deliver enhanced business performance.
David is associated with the Universities of Sheffield and Leeds and is the author of Leadership in World Class manufacturing and Leading Organisational change for the Manufacturing Masters programmes.
David holds several non executive positions in a variety of companies and business sectors.
Prior to forming Director Resource Ltd, David spent sixteen years initially as Operations Director and latterly as Managing Director of a Tier 1 manufacturer of suspension components to the Global automotive market.
During his time working in a rapidly changing global automotive industry, David gained international business development experience working alongside leading companies such as Volvo, Iveco-Ford, Daf, and Jaguar.
Peter Burns - Business Improvement Specialist
Peter joined Director Resource in 2002. Peter has significant director-level experience in the automotive industry and has brought valuable experience of Lean Manufacturing, Strategy and Finance to our team. As a former MBO Finance Director he also has a track record of steering a privately owned manufacturing company through rapid periods of change in the European automotive sector.
A proven results-orientated consultant, Peter has worked with a wide range of companies to deliver significant value-enhancing programmes and improvements in productivity and efficiency.
He is an influential leader who has strategic vision and in-depth experience of implementing best practice. His open management style is ideally suited to developing teams, building lasting relationships and delivering training and mentoring programmes.
He particularly enjoys passing on his knowledge and experience and seeing others grow in the process. Many production team leaders and middle managers have benefited from his “Introduction to Finance” training module, and he has coached and mentored senior Finance executives with great success.
Fred Bradbury - Business Improvement Specialist
Fred is an associate of Director Resource and regularly assists us in supporting clients involved in batch manufacturing.
Fred brings top-level experience to the team, having operated as Managing Director in several companies, and has worked throughout Europe, Asia and America. He is an advanced practitioner of Lean Manufacturing and also specialises in Cellular manufacturing and standard work techniques.
Jacqui Spencer - Business Improvement Specialist
Jacqui joined Director Resource Ltd in July 2003. She specialises in business analysis and development - identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing business excellence in line with company strategy.
Prior to working with Director Resource, she studied an engineering-based degree at Sheffield Hallam University which included a one year industrial work placement at Lafarge Refractories Head Office in Paris.
In recognition of her clear, pragmatic approach and growing reputation for delivering great results, Jacqui has been named 1 of 6 UK role models for the WISE campaign (Women in Science and Engineering) for her achievements at university and in industry.
Darren Hackleton - Adskill, Training Development Manager
Darren joined us from one of the leading UK construction company’s. He leads the construction industry training programmes and Specialised Plant and Machinery (SPMO) NVQ. He can meet the needs of the industry by offering many types of training in plant, machinery and Health and Safety.
Darrens experience began in the agricultural industry using heavy plant and machinery. He quickly progressed up the career ladder and moved into management where he was a key player in the construction of one of the UK’s largest shopping centres (Meadowhall) on the outskirts of Sheffield. From this he started his own hire company – Hackletons Plant hire. A natural progression to training came as he had to teach clients how to use his hire machinery, he gained many qualifications and now runs the training programmes at Adskill in construction and plant machinery.
Zena Bullivant - Accounts manager
Your point of contact in the office, Zena is our key accounts manager for our clients and organises internal matters for our consultants, our clients and our training centre. You will get to know Zena if you become a partner with us and she will be available to you to direct your queries to help solve your business needs.
